Inspector General of Police decorates gallant Deputy commissioner Garba Umar

Correspondent The Acting Inspector General of police Ibrahim Idris who was recently appointed by president muhammadu buhari in barely a week has kicked off in top flight. On monday 26th june 2016 he summoned all his commissioners of police across the federation to an emergency security meetimg . Dashing out strong instructions and new directives to them on the urgent need for security restructing in all states of the fededration . The peak of the event was the decoration of some newly promoted senior officers of the Force. Notably amongst those decorated was Assistant commisioner of police Garba Baba Umar who was decorated with the new rank of deputy commissioner of police in charge of IGP monitoring , a department which is saddled with the responsibility of checkmating and monitoring activities of officers and men of the Force nation wide. Dcp Garba Baba Umar Hails from Kaduna state , he holds a Bachelor of Education, Diploma in law ,M L C, MIRSS, Dip in nation security, he attended ABU Zaria , UNILAG ,LASU ,School of management Isreal. He is revered for his doggedity and zero tolerance to indiscipline. In the same vein IG has ordered a nationwide withdrawal of police men on escort duty from certain unauthorized VIP.
